Tasting Room
We are pleased to announce that we have opened  a tasting room in downtown Boulder, just 1/2 block North of Pearl Street Mall at Oliv You & Me.  At long last, when we receive inquiries about tastings we'll have  a space!  We plan to announce specific tasting room hours shortly, but will be available for tastings, schedules permitting, for special requests as well.

Seed to Plate Dinner
In collaboration with 63rd Street Farm we are excited to present our newest releases paired with tapas prepared by local chefs making use of fresh produce from 63rd Street Farm. The Seed to Plate Dinner is scheduled for Friday August 20, 2010.

The event will include a guided tasting of select Settembre Cellars wines. Wine will also be availabe for sale by the glass. Event details and ticketing information will be announced on our website.

New Releases
All of our 2008 red wines and 2009 white wines are nearly ready to release. The new releases include the 2008 Sangiovese, 2008 Syrah, two unique 2008 Cabernet Sauvignons, 2009 Riesling, and 2009 Chardonnay.  Each bottle from these upcoming wines will be individually numbered by the winemaker so you'll know exactly how limited these wines are!

If you'd like to taste, we'll begin pouring a new release each Thursday at our 63rd Street Farm Events.

Crush Crew
The Friends and Family Thank You Party invite is out! If you volunteered for a winemaking day this last year but didn't receive the invite, please contact us right away so we can be sure to include you. Want to be a member of our Friends & Family club?  It's easy, simply sign-up today for the Crush Crew.  When you receive the invitation for a volunteer day at the winery, RSVP, spend a morning or afternoon sipping wine and sorting grapes and you're in: folks who participate in one of these volunteer work days become members of our Friends and Family club.  Register for a website account and then choose the Dashboard from your user account to add the Crush Crew to your groups.

The latest state we offer Direct Shipping: Oregon. In addition, we continue to offer Direct Shipping for WineShop orders to Colorado, California, and North Dakota.

CSW
There is still a chance to get our extremely limited über local dry red wine, 80304, which is grown in our tiny North Boulder backyard. Sign up for a Wine Share, and while supplies last, a bottle of the 2008 80304 will be included.

We are still offering 2 CSW Wine share sizes: mezza (6 bottles), and dozzina (12 bottles).  All wine shares purchased will come with case-discount pricing (10%) on additional bottles purchased at the CSW pick-up days on Thursdays at 63rd Street Farm. The 63rd Street Farm veggie shares are in full swing, you won't be disappointed if you sign up for a Community Supported Agriculture CSA share even though the season is partially behind us. These are no  ordinary CSA pick-up days, did we mention there is wood fired pizza topped with farm fresh veggies prepared in collaboration with Laudisio's along with Settembre Cellars wine available by the glass?

Bicicletta
Pick up the July edition of Edible Front Range for a story covering Settembre Cellars and other local businesses who use bicycles!  We are excited to see we have kindred spirits in bicycle delivery!  Our bicycle delivery zone includes most of Boulder with free bicycle delivery for qualifying orders.

Pairing Suggestions
If you're looking for a refreshing dish for these hot summer days give the following grilled peppers a try. The dish is super easy to make, serves wonderfully cold, and the lemon provides a beautiful refreshing finish.  Consider pairing with a chilled glass of our 2009 Chardonnay.

2009 Settembre Cellars Chardonnay & Grilled Peppers
	1 Red Bell Pepper 1 Orange Bell Pepper 1 Yellow Bell Pepper 3 Cloves Garlic 1/4 tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper 1/4 tsp Salt 3 tbls capers (not marinated in vinegar) 1 tbls + 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil grated zest of two small lemons 1 tbls minced Oregano Settembre Cellars 2009 Chardonnay
This dish was largely based on Micol Negrin's "The Italian Grill" with a couple of minor modifications.  To begin with, I prefer the garlic to be lightly cooked. Place a small pan on the stove under medium heat with the 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil.  Chop the garlic and once the olive oil is warm place it in the olive oil and cook until it just begins to soften, avoid allowing the garlic to become brown and subsequently crunchy.  Once finished, add the olive oil to a medium bowl and set aside.  If you haven't already, start the grill on about medium.  Cut the peppers in half, remove the seeds, and then proceed to cut them into narrow strips.  Toss the pepper strips in the 1 tbls of olive oil and place in a basket on the grill.  Cook until softened and lightly charred.  While the peppers are on the grill add the lemon zest, capers, salt, pepper, oregano, to the garlic & olive oil and mix well.  When the peppers are done, add them to the marinade and toss.  I prefer the dish at room temperature, or slightly below, and it can be easily prepared the day before and stored in the refrigerator.  The Chardonnay should be slightly chilled, place it in the fridge for about 20 minutes before drinking.  Buon Appetito!
